Zenjiro Sendai Station Gyutan Dori

Raises the bar for gyutan in my eyes, plus extremely convenient being in the sendai station (3rd floor). Some of the beefiest gyutan I've had with thicker cuts and the bounciest tongue I've had yet. Oxtail soup was simply oozing beefy tenderness too. Not seasoned as heavily as other shops but I think it let's the natural flavor of their cuts shine well. Bonus points for having grated yam! A lot of sets seem to skip it. Extra bonus points for folks that can handle English despite my scrub japanese.

staff was friendly and able to understand english which is good. Given we Queue for almost an hour it’s totally worth it- the gyu tongue has a char fragrance and easy to bite ( make sure order the slightly thicker cut) the more u chew the more flavours it gets.. enjoy the food very very much ;) ps glad all seating is on chair

Tasted this restaurant. It's always with a queue outside, so you'll definitely not miss it. Located along the stretch of many grill beef tongue restaurants at Sendai Train Station level 3. Pretty tasty & a must try if you visit Sendai.

Its located in Sendai Station. Therefore its very convinient. Need queue up to enter the restaurant but its not too long of the queue and the queue move pretty fast. The beef tongue is excellent! Worth coming here to savour one of the Sendai’s speciality!Yums

Famous grilled beef tongue shop that has kept us the quality and always attracts a long queue of customers. They also serve other dishes, the bbq beef intestine skewer is delicious. It's conveniently located inside the JR Sendai station. You can even do this a quick stop on your way to somewhere else.

I recently dined at a fantastic beef tongue restaurant located in Sendai's Gyutan Street, right by the train station. Among three places I tried, this one stood out as the best. The beef tongue was perfectly cooked, with a beautifully charred exterior that added a delightful crunch, while the inside remained juicy and tender. Came all the way from Singapore just to try this shop out! It was really amazing. I am not able to describe how unique the texture and flavorful the beef tongue is! Please order both the thin and thick cut, you will be able to taste a subtle difference but both options will leave you satisfied! Please try this when in Sendai! It is located at Level 3 of Sendai Station!

Tried it with sky high expectations and it totally met those expectations. Get the extra thick cut - you’ll love the slight “crunch”, and the way that it is expertly grilled to impart such smokiness and with just the right amount of doneness. The queue is justified!
